Change
We try to capture change by default
Bring it to heel, to a complete full stop
Inexorably it marches on and on, forwards
Happening, occurring, not going backwards
We see it as sudden wrinkles on our face
Carved by passing time in form of change
In consternation, we try to make it halt
Hastily slathering potions and what not
Change wondrous change happens all around
A bud suddenly blooms making us astound
Seasons happen, pass, always, every trimester
Bringing natural changes that do not fester
A newborn lying helplessly bawling
In no times turns over n starts crawling
Change touches and affects everything in life
Emotional ties over time either endure or wither
Beloved elders, the firm walls in our backgrounds
Suddenly crumble and breakdown, over time
Memories remain brightly imprinted in our beings
Yet over time, these too become hazy and faded
Life is dynamic, flowing river waters cannot be halted
Change is implacable, mandated, cannot be faulted

It seems to me self-evident that if you have a life, things happen in it,
and certain things do change; certain things end. People you know die.
Jonathan Franzen, American, Novelist Quotes

the road stood up arms stretched

2 dark foggy night
cold breath dissipating
two steamed bodies merged

tickled and he is sleepy no more

Carpet of Gold
Walking up the slope of my street
My eyes met with a wonderful treat
A golden carpet unfurled under my feet
The autumn leaves in a unanimous decision
Severed their veins from tree limbs in unison
Forming a golden blaze in cahoots with glowing sun
A veritable riot of generous dabs of color yellow
Gladly shedding green memories of spring mellow
And vibrant reds, shades of olive, crimson and cocoa
Actively participating in this transition of life cycle
Passively accepting fate’s decree with promises joyful
Ready to be bagged mulched churned with sighs rueful Walking up the slope of my street
My eyes met with a wonderful treat
A golden carpet unfurled under my feet

I saw old Autumn in the misty morn stand shadowless like silence, listening to silence.
Thomas Hood English, Poet Quotes
I loved you when love was Spring, and May, Loved you when summer deepened into June,
and now when autumn yellows all the leaves… - V. Sackville-West
We cling to our own point of view, as though everything depended on it. Yet our opinions
have no permanence; like autumn and winter, they gradually pass away
Zhuangzi Chinese, Philosopher Quotes
Light
Rearing its head, attacking
Light dragon, swallows night
Whole, uncurling stretching
Sun’s chariot is heralded
Gold rays streamers, countless
On their march, inexorably
Glide in their stride, gilding
Despairing blooms droopy
Sleepy faces yawning, gloomy
Brighten with onset of light
Forgetting hardships’ sharp bite
Sins and sinners all cloaked
By night, suddenly exposed
Pushed into glaring limelight
Day follows night with no ifs n buts
Invisibles become visible stunning
Light’s deft sleight of hand and lo presto
Magic is sprinkled in most unlikely spaces
Artificial or natural, light creates wonder
In tiny innocent unknowing eyes, enthralled
By treasures hereto hidden in darkness of night
Light and shadow are two faces of same entity
Tied to one another like music is to lyrics, ditty
Like fact and fiction are tied to same occurrence
Perceptions are different for extroverts, introverts
Day and Night are same person’s split personalities
One has to die to give life to the other, unconditionally

Beautiful light is born of darkness, so the faith that springs from conflict is often the strongest and the best.-R. Turnbull

It’s not necessary to blow out your neighbor’s light to let your own shine.-M. R. Dehaan
The light which puts out our eyes is darkness to us. Only that day dawns to which we are awake.

Wayne Dyer 1940-, American Psychotherapist, Author, Lecturer
As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.
Carl Jung 1875-1961, Swiss Psychiatrist
In this world, which is so plainly the antechamber of another, there are no happy men. The true division of humanity is between those who live in light and those who live in darkness. Our aim must be to diminish the number of the latter and increase the number of the former. That is why we demand education and knowledge.
Victor Hugo
1802-1885, French Poet, Dramatist, Novelist
Fan
Creating a stir
Piercing stillness
Rising desires
Rearing ambitions
Planned action
Timely execution
Reaching target
Fan switched off
Mission aborted
Oppressive heat
Sweaty stillness
Deadly listlessness
Circling vultures
Parched throats
Hopeful red eyes
Small prayers hold hands
Clouds empty bladder
Sirocco fans relief
Closed spaces
Sterile angular
Vacuum vapid
Antiseptic impersonal
Lifeless, no character
Splashes of color dabs
Spaces sparkle liveliness
Dangling sun catchers
Twirled by whirring fan
All strong emotions fan the flames of creation”
Bill Jay quotes
“The rain water enlivens all living beings of the earth both movable (insects, animals, humans, etc.)
and immovable (plants, trees, etc.), and then returns to the ocean it value multiplied a million fold.”

“Now stir the fire, and close the shutters fast, Let fall the curtains, wheel the sofa round, And,
while the bubbling and loud hissing urn Throws up a steamy column and the cups That cheer
but not inebriate, wait on each, So let us welcome peaceful ev”
William Cowper quotes
The glass speaks to the vitality of the living spaces along the street and really enlivens them.
At night, it will have a beacon effect at a very large intersection that is somewhat vacuous right now.”
Michael Bongiorno quotes
