Tentacles spreading
Rapidly, insinuating
Alarming no end
How to stay calm
Cool and collected
Unperturbed and
Very nonchalant
Not happening.
Stomach caving
Sleep on the trot
Pressure building
Clutching straws
I delve deeply
Digging out dregs
Of reluctant courage
To wear it as a badge
To hold the flag high
Unsuccessfully killing
Resident belly butterflies!!!
