TRIPS
Flood of thoughts tripped circuitry in my head
Hurling me into a heady reverie of paths tread
There are wished for trips that our fancies capture
For wonderful spots, manmade or carved by nature
Having traveled far with aching limbs n lightened purse
I now rock in armchair reminiscing, while joints I nurse
My other trips are GUILTY ones binging on chocolates sinful
Feeling sheepishly happy, angry with self guilt ridden then joyful!
Next, is my EGO trip when I feel superior and better then others
This one can roller coast me downhill n my conscience smother
Next in line are MEMORY trips that can be triggered any time
Reliving meaningful happy sad moments, as I do give a dime
Then come REPENTENCE trips when I feel sorry for being mean n bad
Yet seesawing and careening on this trip I feel incorrigibly rather glad
Finally the DAYDEAM trips when I imagine myself in shoes of another
A moon walker, a mountain climber, writer, cool dignified striking avtar!!
